How to Prepare for SSC CHSL Exam 2022

The Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL) exam is annually held by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) to choose candidates for the positions of LDC, JSA, PA, SA, and DEO in various ministries, departments, and offices of the Indian government. Two Tiers make up the exam's selection procedure. To advance to the next Tier, candidates must first qualify for the prior Tier.

SSC CHSL 2022 Notification – Selection Process

Staff Selection Commission has changed the SSC CHSL 2022 selection process from 3 stages to 2 stages only. The candidates applying for the recruitment process must go through the change in the new selection process as well as the exam pattern mentioned below. The SSC CHSL 2022 Selection process will be based on the following. The computer-based examination will be conducted in two tiers as follows:

  • Tier 1
  • Tier 2

SSC CHSL 2022 Notification: Tier 1 Exam Pattern

SSC CHSL 2022 Tier 1 exam contains 100 questions to be attempted in 60 minutes which will add up to a total of 200 marks. The subjects along with the distribution of questions have been shown in the table given below:

Important Points:
  • The exam will be based on Multiple Choice Questions.
  • 2 marks will be awarded for each right answer.
  • There will be a negative marking of 0.50 for each wrong answer in all sections.
  • Marks scored by candidates in Tier-I will be normalized.
  • No sectional cut-offs will be there.
  • The exam duration is 80 minutes for candidates who are visually handicapped.
